Albuquerque, N.M. – One person was killed in a motorcycle accident in northeast Albuquerque on Wednesday morning.
The 6 a.m. accident happened in the area of Candelaria Road and San Mateo Boulevard, according to the Albuquerque Police Department.
A car was traveling north on San Mateo when it struck a Vespa motorcycle that was making a right turn onto northbound San Mateo from a gas station parking lot.
The motorcyclist was killed in the collision.
The motorcyclist died at the accident scene.
An investigation into the accident is underway
