Dania Beach, FL. – One person died in a collision on Monday night near Dania Beach in Broward County.
According to Broward Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 8:17 p.m. near the 2400 block of Stirling Road.
An 81-year-old man from Hollywood was driving a 2008 Nissan Altima sedan southbound and was attempting to exit the Emerald Plaza parking lot when he collided with a 2022 Harley Davidson Sportster motorcycle operated by a 40-year-old Dania Beach man.
The motorcyclist was ejected from the bike and landed in the far-left lane of Stirling Road.
The man died at the accident scene.
The car driver was transported to Hollywood Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
