Teenager Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Crash on Interstate 94 in Woodbury

WOODBURY, MN — A 16-year-old boy sustained life-threatening injuries in a motorcycle accident on Interstate 94 on Wednesday, October 4, around 4 p.m.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, multiple vehicles were traveling eastbound on I-94 when traffic halted at Woodbury Drive. A Hyundai Palisade swerved left to avoid a collision, while a motorcycle, reportedly lane splitting, struck the side of the Palisade.

Authorities stated that a Kia Sorento and a Toyota Avalon subsequently collided with the motorcycle. The 16-year-old was transported to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

No injuries were reported among the occupants of the other vehicles involved in the crash. The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating the incident and no additional details have been released at this time. Lane closures were in effect as emergency responders managed the scene.
