18-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies in I-74 Crash in Dearborn County.


A motorcycle crash on Interstate 74 in Dearborn County resulted in the death of 18-year-old Christopher Davis of Hooven, Ohio, on Friday morning.

According to the Indiana State Police, the crash occurred at approximately 7:45 a.m. near the 170-mile marker while both Davis’s Honda motorcycle and a Ford pickup truck were traveling west. Davis rear-ended the truck, which was driven by a 30-year-old man from Arizona, who sustained no injuries.

Davis was transported by ambulance to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead due to his injuries. Authorities reported that preliminary investigations indicate Davis was “traveling well in excess of the posted speed limit” at the time of the incident.

Emergency response included the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department, West Harrison Police Department, Harrison Fire and EMS, and the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office. There were lane closures during the investigation.
