18-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies in Rogers County Crash.

An 18-year-old Claremore man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday evening.

Authorities identified the victim as Joseph G. Bethea. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that Bethea was riding a Yamaha YZF-R6 at a high rate of speed when he rear-ended a Nissan Quest at the intersection of County Road (EW 450) and County Road (East Russell Drive).

The 33-year-old driver of the Nissan, from Collinsville, sustained injuries, according to OHP.

Emergency services responded to the scene, and traffic was temporarily disrupted as lanes were closed for investigation. No additional details have been released regarding the incident.
