A motorcyclist died following a collision with a sedan in Bristow, Virginia, on Saturday evening, according to Prince William County Police.
Authorities responded to the site near Linton Hall and Nokesville roads shortly before 8 p.m. An officer observed a speeding 2004 Kawasaki ZX-6R motorcycle heading southbound on Nokesville Road. When the officer activated lights and sirens, the motorcyclist allegedly turned off his lights and accelerated towards Linton Hall Road.
At the same time, a 2024 Nissan Sentra was stopped at a red light on Linton Hall Road. As the driver began a right turn onto Nokesville Road, the motorcycle collided with the car.
The motorcyclist, a 19-year-old man from Manassas, was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The Nissan driver, a 50-year-old woman from Bealeton, received treatment for minor injuries.
The incident remains under investigation. Witnesses are encouraged to contact Prince William County Police.
