LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A 20-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle accident near South 40th and Pine Lake Road on Sunday afternoon.
According to authorities, the collision occurred shortly before 4 p.m. when a vehicle made a left turn onto Pine Lake Road from 38th Street, and the motorcycle struck the back of the vehicle. The identity of the deceased has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
Emergency response teams closed the surrounding area for several hours during the investigation, but it has since reopened. Witnesses reported seeing a body at the scene alongside the motorcycle.
Authorities are advising motorists to avoid the area while investigations continue.
