RAYMOND, Maine (WGME) — A 20-year-old motorcyclist died in a three-vehicle crash on Route 85 near Tarkiln Hill Road on Monday evening.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. when Seth Hodgkins of Greenwood was riding his motorcycle. Authorities reported that a Toyota RAV4, driven by a 23-year-old Raymond man, made a left turn into Hodgkins’ lane, resulting in the collision.
Hodgkins was thrown from his motorcycle and subsequently struck by a GMC Terrain driven by a 55-year-old Casco man. He was pronounced dead at the scene; authorities confirmed he was wearing a helmet.
Buckfield Fire Chief Blaquiere stated that Hodgkins served as an EMT with the Buckfield Fire Rescue Department, describing him as a dedicated friend and community servant.
A GoFundMe page has been established to assist Hodgkins’ family with final expenses.
The crash remains under investigation by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
