SPRING TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A 28-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash in Perry County on Sunday night, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Authorities said James Snyder Jr., of Millerstown, was riding a Yamaha motorcycle eastbound on Shermans Valley Road around 8:10 p.m. when he lost control while negotiating a curve.
Police reported that Snyder briefly went off the road into an embankment before re-entering the road, where he was sideswiped by a westbound Honda Civic.
Snyder was pronounced dead at the scene; he was wearing a helmet, according to investigators. The driver of the Honda Civic was taken to Holy Spirit Hospital with suspected minor injuries.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene. An investigation is ongoing, and traffic in the area was affected during the response.
