CALIFORNIA, Md. — A 30-year-old man was flown to a trauma center following a motorcycle crash on Long Bow Drive late Friday night.
The crash occurred around 11:15 p.m. on August 28, 2026, near Indian Bridge Road and Cross Bow Lane. Emergency responders discovered the rider with facial injuries and pain in his head and neck, and he experienced difficulty breathing.
Medical personnel treated the man on-site before transporting him by ambulance to the hangar at St. Mary’s County Regional Airport. Maryland State Police Aviation Command Trooper 7 was on standby, and the patient was transferred to the helicopter for transport to the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center for further treatment.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing, according to authorities.
