A motorcycle crash involving an 18-wheeler in Arlington on Saturday evening resulted in the death of a 47-year-old man and injuries to a woman.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:13 p.m. in the 3900 block of Avenue E East. According to Arlington Police, the motorcycle collided with the side of the 18-wheeler as the truck was turning left from a store parking lot.
Both the male driver and a female passenger were ejected from the motorcycle. The man, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries but declined hospital transport.
Authorities reported that the 18-wheeler driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. As of Sunday, no criminal charges have been filed.
