MONTVILLE, ME — A 50-year-old man sustained serious injuries in a crash on Route 220 on Friday morning.
The incident occurred at 7:03 a.m. near the intersection of South Mountain Valley Highway and Hog Back Road, according to Maine State Police.
First responders found the driver unconscious and in critical condition on site. He was transported by LifeFlight helicopter to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.
Authorities indicated that speed was a primary factor in the crash, which is currently under investigation. No further details on the driver’s identity have been released.
