PARK HILLS, Mo. (KMOV/Gray News) – Father Larry Huber, priest of Immaculate Conception Church, died in a motorcycle crash on Thursday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Huber, 56, was riding a 2008 Honda VTX1330 northbound on Route V when a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport turned left in front of him from the southbound lane.
Authorities said Huber attempted to brake but lost control of the motorcycle, skidding into the right side of the Ford. He died at the scene.
Emergency responders from local agencies arrived promptly, but Huber was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
The Immaculate Conception Church posted a tribute to Huber on its Facebook page, emphasizing his impact as a “shepherd,” teacher, and servant within the community.
Huber was also known for founding the Community of Transcendent Men to educate young men in Catholic teachings.
