FLOYD COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — A 69-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash on Floyd Highway on Sunday at 9:58 a.m.
Virginia State Police (VSP) are investigating the incident, which involved three vehicles. The crash occurred two-tenths of a mile south of King Store Road.
According to VSP, a 2021 Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling north crossed the centerline, side-swiping a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze heading south before colliding head-on with a 2023 Range Rover.
The rider, Kenneth Martin Wingfield of Roanoke, was wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and no further details about lane closures or emergency response have been confirmed.
