A two-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 4:14 p.m. on Wednesday, just north of Sunset View, according to Connecticut State Police.
The deceased motorcyclist was identified as Delbert Lee Moore, 70, from Griswold.
Officials reported that Moore was riding a black 2026 Indian Scout Bobber southbound when a northbound white 2025 Honda CR-V Sport, driven by a 66-year-old Griswold woman, crossed into his lane before the collision.
Moore was pronounced dead at the scene; the SUV driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich.
The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad of the state police is investigating the incident. Authorities had previously stated that Life Star, a medical helicopter, was dispatched to the scene.
No charges have been filed in connection with Moore’s death, and investigators are seeking witnesses or anyone with additional information about the incident.
