KINGMAN COUNTY — Two people were injured in a motorcycle accident just after 10:30 p.m. on Friday in Kingman County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the incident occurred in the 2300 Block of SW 150th Street. A 2007 Honda motorcycle, driven by 39-year-old Israel Nemitz of Spivey, was traveling westbound when it collided head-on with a 2021 Chongqing motorcycle, driven by 8-year-old Uriah Nemitz, also of Spivey.
Emergency Medical Services transported both individuals to Wesley Medical Center. Authorities reported that the 8-year-old sustained serious injuries. Both riders were wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
No further details on the cause of the accident or ongoing investigation have been released.
