Seaforth, MN (MinnesotaNow) – A collision involving an SUV and a school bus occurred Wednesday morning, hospitalizing a motorist and a student.
The Redwood County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash on Redwood County Rd. 7 shortly after 7:30 a.m. At least 20 students were riding the bus at the time, according to authorities.
The SUV reportedly rear-ended the school bus. The driver, a teenager from Vesta, was transported to a hospital by ambulance.
Authorities confirmed at least one student was also taken to the hospital. A statement from the Wabasso School District noted that no one was seriously injured, but two or three students were reported hurt. The bus driver was unharmed.
Emergency response agencies remain on scene, assessing the situation. Further details regarding the investigation have not been released. Lane closures are expected as crews clear the area.
