A fatal motorcycle crash occurred on North Campbell Avenue at East University Boulevard on Tuesday morning, according to local authorities.
The Tucson Police Department (TPD) reported that the road was closed while officers investigated the incident. The collision was confirmed to be fatal.
TPD identified the motorcyclist as 19-year-old Nicholas Daniel Perez, who was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle southbound on Campbell at a speed exceeding the posted limit. Witnesses said a Hyundai made a left turn onto University, failing to yield to Perez, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
No civil citations or criminal charges have been issued as the investigation is ongoing.
