ORANGEVALE, Calif. – A 25-year-old soldier was killed in a motorcycle crash in Orangevale on Wednesday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Noah Jacobus was riding with his fiancée, Molly Wiseman, after proposing earlier that day. The couple was en route to dinner to celebrate their engagement when Jacobus lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a mailbox. Authorities have not confirmed if another vehicle was involved, and the investigation is ongoing.
Emergency medical services arrived on the scene but were unable to save Jacobus, who sustained fatal injuries. Wiseman described him as having a vibrant personality and a strong sense of humor.
Jacobus had recently received an offer for a permanent position with the National Guard, a goal he had pursued for months. An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
