LAUGHLIN, Nev. (Local News Wire) – Three individuals were killed in a crash involving a motorcycle and a semi-truck on State Route 163 Saturday afternoon.
According to Nevada State Police, the incident occurred shortly after 2:30 p.m. near mile marker 11. Authorities confirmed three fatalities resulting from the collision.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office identified two victims. Owen Hart, 22, from Saint George, Utah, died from multiple blunt-force trauma; his death was ruled an accident. Jeremy Gebo, 44, was also confirmed deceased due to the same cause, although his address remains unverified.
Details regarding the third victim have not yet been released.
As of Monday afternoon, the suspect in the crash was identified as Claude Rafiki, who is currently in custody. He faces charges of DUI resulting in death and reckless driving. Rafiki is scheduled to appear in court in Moapa Valley on March 26.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, but all three individuals were pronounced dead at the site. Investigations are ongoing, and lanes on State Route 163 were temporarily closed during the response.
