Motorcyclist Killed, Juvenile Injured in Alexandria Crash

A motorcyclist was killed and a juvenile injured in a collision on State Road 9 in Alexandria at approximately 3:15 p.m. on October 3.

According to the Indiana State Police, the crash involved two vehicles: a motorcycle and a passenger car. The motorcyclist, who was pronounced dead at the scene, has not been identified pending notification of next of kin. The juvenile passenger in the car sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Emergency responders from the Alexandria Fire Department, along with local police, were on the scene for nearly two hours. State Road 9 was closed in both directions while authorities conducted an investigation and cleared the wreckage.
