Motorcycle Crash Under Investigation in Downtown Columbia
COLUMBIA, SC — A motorcycle crash occurred at 2:41 p.m. on October 20 in downtown Columbia, involving two vehicles.
According to the Columbia Police Department, a motorcycle collided with a car at the intersection of Main Street and Elmwood Avenue. Emergency responders arrived promptly at the scene, providing medical assistance to the motorcyclist, who sustained serious injuries. No fatalities have been reported.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. Witnesses reported that traffic was backed up as lanes were closed for approximately one hour while debris was cleared and an initial investigation was conducted.
