Motorcycle Crash on I-64 West Causes Delays in Norfolk
NORFOLK, VA — A motorcycle crash on I-64 West resulted in significant traffic delays near mile marker 276 on Friday at 2:41 p.m.
According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, two vehicles were involved in the incident. Emergency services responded promptly, with the Norfolk Fire and Rescue on the scene to assist those injured.
Authorities confirmed one individual sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for further treatment. There were no fatalities reported.
During the incident, all westbound lanes of I-64 were temporarily closed, causing backups in the area. Towing services were called to clear the wreckage, and traffic began to normalize shortly after 4 p.m.
