Two Men Killed in Separate Off-Road Crashes in Maine

Two men died in separate off-road vehicle crashes in Maine over the weekend, according to authorities. The incidents occurred on Saturday, October 7, 2023.

The first crash involved a 25-year-old man who lost control of his ATV on a trail in Aroostook County. Emergency services responded, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hours later, a second incident involved a 32-year-old man in Franklin County. His ATV collided with a tree, leading to fatal injuries. First responders provided medical aid, but the man was also declared dead at the site of the crash.

Authorities are investigating both incidents, and the Maine Warden Service is involved in the inquiries. The names of the victims have not yet been released pending family notification.

No additional injuries were reported in either incident, and no lane closures or other road impacts were noted.
