Motorcyclist Killed in Three-Vehicle Collision in Wilkes County
WILKES COUNTY, N.C. — A motorcyclist died in a three-vehicle crash on U.S. 421 South near Wilkesboro on October 10 at approximately 7:15 p.m.
The collision involved a motorcycle, a pickup truck, and a sedan, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. The motorcyclist, identified as a 34-year-old man, sustained fatal injuries at the scene.
Emergency responders, including Wilkes County EMS, arrived to administer medical aid but were unable to revive the individual. Both passengers in the pickup were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No injuries were reported from the sedan.
Authorities closed two lanes of U.S. 421 for several hours during the investigation and cleanup. A tow truck removed the vehicles involved from the scene.
