SOUTHAVEN, MS — A motorcycle crash on Goodman Road claimed the life of a Walls Fire Captain on Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m. near the intersection with Airways Boulevard, involving two vehicles—a motorcycle and a sedan. Authorities confirmed the motorcycle rider, a 46-year-old male, sustained fatal injuries. The driver of the sedan was unharmed.
Emergency services from the Southaven Fire Department responded to the scene and provided medical aid before the rider was pronounced dead. The DeSoto County Coroner’s Office has been notified.
According to authorities, Goodman Road was closed for several hours as crews worked to clear the scene and investigate the circumstances of the crash. The Southaven Police Department is leading the investigation.
