Actor Treat Williams’ cause of death confirmed following motorcycle crash as a 35-year-old man is charged.

Actor Treat Williams, 71, died following a motorcycle accident on Vermont Route 30 in Dorset on June 12.

According to Vermont State Police, Williams suffered severe trauma and blood loss from the crash. He was operating a 1986 Honda VT700c motorcycle when he collided with a 2008 Honda Element driven by 35-year-old Ryan Koss, who reportedly turned into Williams’ path while attempting to enter a parking lot.

The accident occurred around 5 p.m. near Long Trail Auto, where witnesses said Williams was thrown from his bike. Koss was subsequently charged with grossly negligent operation resulting in death. He turned himself into authorities and is scheduled for arraignment on September 25.

Emergency responders transported Williams to Albany Medical Center via airlift, where he was pronounced dead later that evening. While some witnesses reported that he appeared alert and responsive at the scene, he sustained critical injuries.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, with further details expected as authorities continue to gather information.
