Albany Man Injured in Motorcycle Crash North of Gallatin.

A 48-year-old Albany man suffered injuries in a motorcycle crash on Route DD near 185th Street on April 20, 2026, at 10:50 a.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The motorcycle, a 2004 Honda VTX1300C, was traveling northbound when the rider failed to negotiate a curve. The bike left the east side of the roadway, overturned, and ejected the driver, who struck a stop sign before coming to rest in a culvert.

Authorities reported that the rider was not wearing a helmet and sustained moderate injuries. He was transported by Daviess County Ambulance to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph.

The motorcycle incurred total damage and was towed from the scene by Bridgeman’s. The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the incident.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
