MIDDLETON TWP., OH – Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash on State Route 7, Alcohol Suspected
A 35-year-old motorcyclist died Monday night after crashing on State Route 7 in Middleton Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP). The incident occurred shortly after 9 p.m. near milepost 19.
Troopers reported that David Bell was riding southbound when he veered off the right side of the roadway, striking a guardrail. The impact caused his motorcycle to overturn.
Bell, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities believe that alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the crash.
The OSHP is continuing its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident and stated that no other vehicles were involved. No additional injuries or road closures due to the incident were reported.
