Arkansas Woman Dies in Motorcycle Crash Near Snyder.

A 50-year-old woman from Arkansas died in a motorcycle crash Thursday on U.S. Highway 84 near Snyder, Texas, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).

The incident occurred at approximately 12:36 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 84 and South Ennis Creek Road.

Investigators identified Jimmy Garza, 67, of Brownfield, as the driver of a 2022 Ford Bronco SUV. Daniel Martin, 55, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, was riding a 2019 Harley-Davidson Road Glide motorcycle, with passenger Theresa Martin, 50.

According to the DPS, Garza entered the highway from Ennis Creek Road while traveling north in the left lane. Daniel Martin was also in the left lane and failed to control his speed, colliding with Garza’s vehicle from behind.

Theresa Martin was pronounced dead at the scene, while Daniel Martin sustained incapacitating injuries and was transported to UMC Lubbock.

Both Daniel and Theresa Martin were wearing helmets at the time of the crash, while Garza was wearing a seatbelt and reported no injuries.

The weather and road conditions were clear and dry, according to the DPS. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
