IPSWICH, Mass. — A 72-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead following a crash with a pickup truck on Route 1A on Sunday.
The Essex County District Attorney’s Office identified the victim as Charles Parisi Jr. of Gloucester. The incident occurred around 4 p.m. when Parisi collided with a Dodge pickup truck.
First responders pronounced him dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup, a 49-year-old man from Lynn, remained on-site and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
Authorities confirmed that the Ipswich Police Department, along with the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, State Police Crime Scene Services Section, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, are investigating the incident.
No additional details regarding lane closures or other injuries were available at this time.
