RAPIDES PARISH, La. — A motorcycle crash on Hooper Road in Rapides Parish claimed the life of 19-year-old Alijah Johnson of Ball on Saturday, May 3.
Louisiana State Police Troop E responded to the incident at approximately 10:45 p.m. in the 100 block of Hooper Road, near Highway 3225.
According to LSP, Johnson was riding eastbound on Hooper Road when the motorcycle veered into the opposite lane and into a ditch, resulting in him being thrown from the bike.
Troopers reported that Johnson sustained severe injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.
Routine toxicology tests were conducted, and the investigation remains active, according to authorities.
