Clermont County Firefighter Killed in Motorcycle Crash
An 18-year-old firefighter died in a motorcycle accident in Clermont County, Ohio, on Wednesday around noon.
Wyatt Fisher was off-duty when his motorcycle collided with a Volkswagen Routan that had slowed in traffic on State Route 131 near Dry Run Road, according to authorities. The impact caused Fisher’s motorcycle to crash into a Ford Escape, which was stopped in westbound traffic. Fisher sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.
The Stonelick Township Fire Department confirmed Fisher’s death and stated it has left “an immeasurable void” in the community. “Wyatt exemplified what it meant to serve others,” the department remarked in a statement. Fisher was a member of the Stonelick Township Fire Department and previously served with Wayne Township Fire and EMS.
Fisher was also a high school graduate from Clermont Northeastern and was involved as an assistant boys soccer coach. The Clermont Northeastern School District described him as having a “passion” for service, with an impact felt across the district.
Visitation for Wyatt Fisher will be held on July 16 at Clermont Northeastern High School’s gymnasium, with the funeral scheduled for July 17 at the same location. Counseling services will be available for those affected by his passing.
