Motorcyclist Killed in Early Morning I-290 Crash
CHICAGO — A motorcyclist was killed in a collision involving a Honda on eastbound Interstate 290 early Sunday morning, according to Illinois State Police.
The accident occurred at 12:50 a.m. near Interstate 294. Emergency responders transported the motorcycle driver to an area hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.
All eastbound lanes of I-290 were closed for approximately 5.5 hours as traffic was diverted to southbound I-294. The cause of the crash is under investigation, and no further details have been released.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
