BEAUMONT — Authorities confirmed that a 22-year-old man died in a motorcycle collision on College Street at approximately 4:03 p.m. Wednesday.
Joseph Paul Richardson of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, was traveling westbound at a high rate of speed when a car, traveling eastbound, made a left turn from the middle lane into the westbound lanes. According to police, the motorcycle struck the vehicle.
Richardson was ejected from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy has been ordered by Justice of the Peace Ben Collins Sr. The incident remains under investigation.
