A Brenham man was killed in a motorcycle crash involving a pickup truck on FM 332 on Monday at approximately 5:20 p.m.
Kevin Lee Kwiatkowski, 21, was traveling west when he attempted to pass other vehicles at a high rate of speed, lost control of his 2001 Honda motorcycle, and collided with a 1997 Ford pickup driven by Jason Dale Janes Jr. of Brenham. Authorities said Kwiatkowski was trying to re-enter the westbound lane when the accident occurred.
Janes, the driver of the truck, was not injured in the incident. The speed limit in the area is 65 mph.
Kwiatkowski was pronounced dead at 5:48 p.m. by Justice of the Peace James McCune. His body was taken to Brenham Memorial Chapel for further arrangements.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the incident. No lane closures were reported following the crash.
