Bystander Injured in Federal Hill Motorcycle Crash Nearly Escapes Tragedy.

Providence, R.I. (WPRI) — A motorcycle crash on Federal Hill left a man seriously injured on Saturday evening.

The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. when a motorcycle, reportedly driven by 19-year-old Michael Carnevale, lost control after weaving through a crowd. The motorcycle struck 46-year-old Christopher Woodley, who was sitting with his fiancée at an outdoor tent.

Woodley sustained multiple injuries, including broken ribs and a dislocated shoulder, and was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital. Carnevale was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries. He was cited for operating a motorcycle without a license, insurance, or registration, according to authorities.
