Motorcycle Crash Claims Life of New Milford Resident in New Hampshire
A fatal motorcycle crash occurred on Bear Notch Road in Albany, New Hampshire, on Friday, Aug. 14, resulting in the death of 40-year-old Andrey Uryadov of New Milford. Authorities reported he died at the scene.
The motorcycle struck a tree, and investigators believe speed was a contributing factor, according to local police. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene, but Uryadov’s injuries were fatal.
Uryadov was a well-known boys hockey coach at Canterbury School in New Milford since 2025 and is survived by his wife, Elena, and two young sons, aged 8 and 5. A GoFundMe page was established to support his family, raising over $71,000 by Tuesday morning.
The Canterbury School described Uryadov as a dedicated coach and mentor who made a significant impact on the community. Head of School Caroline Blatti praised his commitment to students and the school, saying, “He embraced Canterbury and brought joy and generosity to all.”
Uryadov also spent a decade at South Kent School, where he prepared young athletes for their futures. A tribute gathering is scheduled for Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Steers Student Center at Canterbury School, with a celebration of life to follow at a later date.
