Cedar Hill resident Michael Eckstein, 62, died in a two-vehicle crash in Washington County on Feb. 28, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at 10:28 a.m. on Hwy. 185 near Goose Creek Road. Eckstein was riding a 2017 Harley-Davidson Street Glider when he reportedly lost control while navigating a right curve. His motorcycle crossed the center line and collided with a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser driven by a 37-year-old man from St. Charles.
Eckstein was pronounced dead at the scene by Washington County Coroner Steve Hatfield. The body was subsequently taken to the Washington County Morgue.
No other injuries were reported, and both vehicles involved in the crash were totaled. Eckstein was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident. The Missouri State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
