Central Police Identify Motorcyclist Killed in Crash.

CENTRAL, La. — A motorcycle crash on Frenchtown Road resulted in a fatality on Wednesday, Sept. 3, according to the Central Police Department.

Emergency responders were dispatched around 8:20 p.m. and discovered a man, identified as 51-year-old Basil Wayne Crawford of Pride, deceased next to his motorcycle.

Authorities confirmed that Crawford had recently purchased the motorcycle.

Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the crash and are awaiting toxicology results.

The Central Police Department received assistance from the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office and the Central Fire Department at the scene of the incident.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
