Motorcyclist Killed in Collision on U.S. 50 Near Hutchinson
HUTCHINSON, KS — A motorcyclist died in a crash on U.S. 50 near Salem Road on Friday.
William Duran, 29, of Gardner, Colorado, struck the rear of a van that had stopped for a turning semi, according to the Reno County Sheriff’s Office. The collision resulted in the death of Duran, who was found near his three-wheeled motorcycle.
Two occupants of the van sustained injuries but were later released from medical care. Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the incident was reported.
Authorities closed one lane of U.S. 50 to facilitate the ongoing investigation. Further details regarding the crash are pending.
