A motorcyclist died in a crash on U.S. 50 near Salem Road, southwest of Hutchinson, on Friday.
William Duran, 39, of Gardner, Colorado, struck the back of a stopped passenger van waiting for a semi to turn. Two occupants in the van sustained injuries but were later released from medical care.
Deputies found Duran deceased at the scene beside his three-wheeled motorcycle, which was involved in the collision with the rear-ended van.
US 50 was reduced to one lane during the investigation. The Reno County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.
