Colorado Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash Near Guernsey.

GUERNSEY, Wyo. — A two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 26 resulted in the death of a 62-year-old Colorado man on Nov. 20.

According to the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Kerry Gunn was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle westbound when a Ford F-150 crossed into his lane while attempting to pass another vehicle. Both vehicles veered toward the ditch on the north side of the road, leading to a collision that threw Gunn from his motorcycle.

Authorities reported that Gunn was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Driver inattention is being considered a possible contributing factor.

Emergency responders included the Wyoming Highway Patrol and local medical services. No other injuries were reported.

The highway was briefly closed for investigation and cleanup.

As of now, there have been 109 fatalities on Wyoming roadways in 2025, compared to 99 in 2024, 136 in 2023, and 124 in 2022.
