Concord Police Request Public Tips Following Motorcyclist Collision with U.S. Postal Van in South End.

Motorcycle Collision with Postal Van Leaves Rider Injured in Concord

Concord, NH — A motorcycle crash involving a postal van occurred at the intersection of South State and Concord streets around 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Emergency responders from the Concord Fire Department and Police Department were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, EMTs called for a trauma alert to Concord Hospital due to the rider’s serious injuries.

Authorities reported that the motorcyclist collided with the rear of a postal van. No skid marks were found on the roadway, suggesting the motorcyclist did not attempt to brake before impact. The postal van sustained damage to its left side, including a blown-out rear tire.

The motorcyclist, who was conscious and alert at the hospital, was transported with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

South State Street was closed for several hours as police conducted an investigation into the incident.
