A Voluntown resident died following a motorcycle and pickup truck collision Saturday afternoon in Griswold, according to Connecticut State Police.
Nathan Musto, 35, crashed into the right side of a pickup truck on Stone Hill Road at the intersection of Roode Road around 4:30 p.m. Authorities said both Musto and his passenger were ejected from the motorcycle, landing in the center of the intersection.
Musto was transported to Plainfield Backus Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His passenger sustained suspected serious injuries and was also taken to Backus Hospital. The driver of the pickup truck refused medical attention at the scene.
The incident is under investigation by Connecticut State Police Troop E and the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad. Authorities are urging anyone with information or witnesses to the crash to contact Troop E in Montville.
