A motorcycle crash involving a bus left a 22-year-old Coopersville man in critical condition on July 3 in Wright Township.
The collision occurred at approximately 10:20 a.m. at the intersection of 8th Avenue and Roosevelt Street, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities reported that the motorcyclist was traveling south on 8th Avenue on a 1999 Harley-Davidson, while a 35-year-old man from Conklin drove the bus west on Roosevelt Street.
Witnesses indicated that the bus, after stopping at a two-way stop, pulled into the path of the motorcycle, resulting in a collision.
The intersection was subsequently closed as deputies collected evidence and crews cleared the scene. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not confirmed details regarding the bus’s ownership or additional passengers. No citations have been issued at this time.
