COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – A 28-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a box truck on Union Boulevard on February 24.
The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) responded to the incident at approximately 4:46 p.m. at the intersection of Union Boulevard and Woodland Hills Drive.
Authorities reported that the motorcycle was traveling north when the box truck made a left turn in front of it.
Emergency medical personnel arrived, but the motorcyclist, identified as Elijah Cobb, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Union Boulevard was closed in both directions for several hours as investigators examined the crash site.
CSPD stated that impairment is not suspected; however, speed is currently under investigation.
This incident marks the sixth traffic-related fatality in Colorado Springs in 2026.
Road closures include Union Boulevard between Woodmen Boulevard and Deliverance Drive, and Woodland Hills Drive closed at Union Boulevard. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
