Motorcycle Accident Claims Life of 20-Year-Old in Bartlett, TN
A motorcycle accident in Bartlett, Tennessee, on September 2, 2023, resulted in the death of 20-year-old Dallin Floyd Baum. Authorities reported that Baum was transported to Regional One Health in Memphis but succumbed to his injuries.
The accident occurred at approximately 7:00 p.m. on a local roadway, involving a motorcycle. Emergency responders from the local Fire Department and MEDICAL Services arrived on scene shortly after the incident. Lane closures were implemented while authorities conducted their investigation.
Baum, originally from Boise, Idaho, had recently pursued animal care at Sarasota Jungle Gardens in Florida. Prior to that, he worked at the Memphis Zoo, where he was known for his passion for reptiles and engaging with visitors.
He is survived by his parents, Alan and Catrina Baum, and his younger sister, Sophia, along with several extended family members.
Funeral services were held on September 9, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Collierville, TN. A graveside service followed at Burton Cemetery in Rexburg, Idaho.
The family requested memorial contributions be made to Wildlife Warriors, Sarasota Jungle Gardens, or Memphis Zoo.
