Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Wantagh State Parkway Claims One Life
WANTAGH, NY — Dario Marsalek, 29, died following a motorcycle crash on the Wantagh State Parkway on Sunday, August 23.
According to the New York State Police, Marsalek was traveling northbound just south of the Goose Creek Bridge when he crashed into a guardrail. Both he and a passenger were ejected from the motorcycle. Authorities reported that Marsalek fell onto the pavement, while the passenger landed in the grass nearby.
Emergency responders transported Marsalek to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The passenger sustained critical injuries and is receiving medical care.
State Police continue to investigate the incident. Roadway conditions and factors contributing to the crash have not been disclosed.
