Sioux Falls Woman Dies in Motorcycle Accident
SIOUX FALLS, SD — Dawn Ranae Hillman, 67, died in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, August 1, 2026, while traveling with family.
Authorities confirmed that the incident occurred on Highway 11 around 4:30 p.m. Hillman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her husband, Randall Hillman, was riding with her; he sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Emergency responders from the Sioux Falls Fire Department and Paramedics arrived promptly to provide medical assistance. The motorcycle was removed by a local towing service, and the southbound lane of Highway 11 was closed for approximately two hours during the investigation.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
Dawn Hillman, a longtime fixture in the community known for her work at Roll’n Pin Restaurant, is survived by her husband and five children, along with numerous grandchildren and extended family members.
Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, August 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Central Church, with the funeral service set for Monday, August 10, at 11 a.m. in the same location.
